A magical place
The Musée des Arts Forains is located in the Pavillons de Bercy, the former cellars of the old wine market that once supplied the entire capital. With its stone pavilions and cobblestones, it seems timeless, and this old-world charm is further accentuated by the ancient attractions that the museum displays. Wooden carousel horses, puppets, automatons, mechanical music, games and more vividly illustrate the history of fairgrounds dating back to the 19th century. And during the festive season, from December 26th, 2021, to January 2nd, 2022, the museum opens its doors to welcome you into its world of colour and enchantment.
On the theme of the Roaring Twenties
Each year, the festival is built around a theme. After these two difficult years, what more appropriate choice could there been than the exciting Années Folles (Roaring Twenties)? In the costumes, attractions, and aesthetics, you will find all the vibrancy of those years when anything seemed possible, and extravagance was the norm. As you wander around, you can enjoy performances by aerial acrobats, jugglers, musicians and more. Of course, the rides are also accessible, so you can rediscover the fun of riding on a wooden carousel horse, for example...
Some 25 minutes by Metro from your Hotel les Plumes, the Musée des Arts Forains immerses you in a festive atmosphere that is out of this world. Also take the opportunity to stroll through Bercy Village for a little shopping, a gourmet break or to see a movie.
