It's time to go ice-skating in Paris!

Christmas is fast approaching, so get ready to reconnect with all the essential traditions of the festive season. It’s time to admire the beautifully dressed shop windows, browse the stalls of the Christmas markets, eat roasted chestnuts, drink mulled wine and, of course, show off your skating skills on the capital’s pop-up ice rinks... So, let your Hotel Les Plumes guide you to the best in town.
Rinks suspended between heaven and earth
Let's start with two exciting skating rinks that offer a magical view of Paris. The first is installed on the roof of the Grande Arche in La Défense, the business district of Paris. At 110 metres high, you can skate beneath the stars while admiring the illuminations of the Arc de Triomphe and the Champs-Elysées. Also, to give you a break from your Christmas shopping, head up to the roof of the Galeries Lafayette department store, where you’ll find another ice rink commanding an amazing panorama of the rooftops of Paris...
The giant ice rink of the Grand Palais
Back to ground-level! The Grand Palais is a stunning venue for exhibitions and other events throughout most of the year, but for the festive season it’s transformed into a Grand Palais des Glaces. Under its vast glass roof the largest temporary ice rink in the world is installed. The atmosphere and the music are joyous, and if you want to take a break, friendly refreshment booths invite you to enjoy a mulled wine and a waffle... Of course, you can rent your skates on site.
Let yourself be swept away by the festive Christmas ambiance of the Hotel Les Plumes and then glide off on the ice of the pop-up rinks of Paris. We’ll tell you how to get to them.
