Paris Jazz Festival: a journey across cultures
Every year since 1994, the Floral Park has hosted one of the country’s major jazz events. Today’s most talented jazz musicians offer music lovers the chance to enjoy an unforgettable experience in the idyllic setting of the Bois de Vincennes botanical garden.
Attracting over 100,000 visitors each year, the Paris Jazz Festival presents hundreds of outdoor concerts, both in the evening and during the day. Its aim is to share the musical eclecticism that is peculiar to the genre and it brings together some of the most passionate internationally acclaimed musicians and talented new artists. Nurtured by many cultural influences, jazz has the unique ability to transcend borders and attracts listeners from all over the world. A symbol of tolerance and diversity, the festival fits perfectly with the values of Paris, a truly cosmopolitan city.
Auto Photo" at the Fondation Cartier
The Cartier Foundation offers visitors an exciting experience from April 19th until October 2017. An ambitious and original exhibition, "Auto Photo" questions the links between the automobile and photography. A source of fascination for some and a symbol of speed and adventure for others, the car makes its mark on every land it crosses. An emblem of industrialisation and of the modern era, the automobile has the unique ability to alter the relationship between space and time. Bringing together nearly 400 photographs by leading artists, the exhibition illustrates how cars have influenced our daily lives and the history of the 20th century.
