Paris Jazz Festival: A Taste Of Summer Jazz
Categories : Entertainment, published on : 6/15/14
Beautiful gardens in Paris are ideal for relaxation during the warm summer months. These verdant green spaces are the lungs of the city; beautiful places to which to retreat when you need a break from the city bustle. Moreover, they are also great venues for entertainment, whether it be live music or fascinating exhibitions. Les Plumes Hotel is delighted to recommend a couple of events combining nature and culture such as Paris Jazz Festival.
Find Jazz and Art Amidst Scenic Splendour
Established in 1994 by enthusiastic jazz fans, the Paris Jazz Festival has become one of the most prestigious in existence, attracting top musicians from across the world and, of course, from the flourishing French jazz scene. Originally called the Fleur de Jazz, its popularity led to its current name and leading position in the jazz world. In the gorgeous surroundings of the Parc Floral de Paris from June 7th to July 27th there will be over thirty concerts performed over the course of eight weekends. Enjoy a picnic in the sunshine and listen to the music of the Colin Vallon Trio, the Kyle Eastwood Quartet, Snarky Puppy, Manu Dibango and Le Soul Makossa Gang and many more.
The gardens of the Quai Branly Museum, designed by Gilles Clement, are a vital part of the museum. The paths, small hills and abundant greenery often function as an extension of the exhibitions taking place. Discover the music and dance of Latin America and the Caribbean on June 1st and a look at the culture of Polynesia in late June.
