Shopping heaven; it’s the Winter Sales in Paris

Happy New Year greetings from all of us here at Les Plumes Hotel. Why not start your year with a retail bang by enjoying world class shopping and fantastic savings at the Paris Winter Sales? This opportunity to enjoy a spree in the world capital of shopping should not be missed but don’t worry, the sales run on until February 17th. Whenever you choose to indulge, Les Plumes Hotel is waiting to accommodate you, providing a welcome haven at the end of a busy day of retail therapy. For now, however, we have some suggestions.
Our recommendations for Winter Sales destinations in Paris
The Paris Winter Sales, or Les Soldes d’Hiver, give savvy shoppers the chance to pick up a wide range of consumer items at knock down prices. Discounts of up to 50% or more are offered by all kinds of retailers on all kinds of merchandise including haute couture, beauty products, jewellery, perfume and pretty much everything else. In fact, as the sales reach their finish it’s not unknown for there to be as much as 75% off. Remember, though, the widest choice is in the early stages.
The upmarket department stores located on the Boulevard Haussmann should be one of your first stopping places. Printemps and Galeries Lafayette are chic, stylish and exclusive, offering the most amazing range of goods from the world’s premiere brands. Here you will be able to find just about everything you want in one place while enjoying great savings.
However, if you want to find excellent shopping close to our hotel, we recommend the Rue des Martyrs, a half kilometre stroll to the north. This bustling street of traditional small shops and cafes in the Pigalle district offers all the charm, colour and fun that department stores lack. It’s old fashioned in a good way, but the many classy boutiques that can be found here, such as Roxan, are right up to date and perfect for leisurely and enjoyable clothes shopping.
