Beauty And Splendour At The Biennale des Antiquaires
With such a grand and glorious setting as the Grand Palais, it is little wonder that the Biennale des Antiquaires radiates such a sense of occasion. However, the exquisite antiques, jewellery items and art objects on display more than live up to their surroundings. Wander the aisles between the exhibition stands and view the displays, and the exhibitors will be delighted to tell you all about their collections.
La Biennale des Antiquaires was first conceived in the late 1950s by the Syndicat National des Antiquaries, but was not actually presented for the first time until 1962. Since then its reputation has become a global one. For this 27th edition the S.N.A. president invited the renowned interior designer Jacques Grange to create an homage to the Versailles Gardens within the Grand Palais. This deft touch will surely add to the ambience of this much-anticipated event.
The S.N.A., founded in 1901 on a basis of honour and integrity, impose stringent standards on this show, calling for impeccable quality from all exhibitors in accordance with the requirements of the Objects Admissions Committee. Needless to say, the exhibitors rise to the occasion and the results will be displayed before your astounded eyes.
