Nevertheless, the Montmartre Fête des Vendanges has been a hugely popular celebration of the grape for decades. A vineyard in the heart of Paris
The Fête des Vendanges celebrates the grape harvest of one of the last vineyards in the city of Paris, the 1,500 m² of vines nestled on the Montmartre hill. This event is also a reminder of the strong character of this district, which was, not so long ago, a village in its own right. Swallowed up as the city grew, it became a symbol of hedonism due its many cabarets and other places of pleasure and indulgence. Today, its inhabitants still love to cultivate this village spirit, especially during fun events such as the Fête des Vendanges.
A full schedule of fun
The 2022 edition of the Fête des Vendanges will be held from October 5th to 9th throughout the quarter. This year the theme is equality! Multiculturalism, diversity, and getting along together will be in the spotlight, just as they are a big part of the very special 18th arrondissement. You can enjoy highlights such as the big launch party, a tour of the vineyard, the live music concerts of Décibels Vendanges, the big parade, the ball, and the picnic.
